Curriculum
Port Moresby Grammar School provides a curriculum to prepare students for the 21st Century, whether they are continuing to further studies or going out into the workforce. We promote high standards and expectations.
The School places a strong emphasis on Information Technology. Access to Information Technology is empowerment for the future.
Senior School
In the Senior School, students follow an approved course of studies leading to the Papua New Guinean Certificate of Basic Education in Year Eight, the School Certificate in Year Ten and the Higher School Certificate in Year Twelve. Successful grades in the HSC will enable a student to apply for tertiary studies either in PNG or overseas. Information Technology and Personal Development and Guidance are compulsory subjects for all students.
Junior School
The Junior School uses an outcomes based curriculum developed by the Papua New Guinea Education Department. This is complemented by curriculum material on literacy and numeracy from Australia.
