At Port Moresby Grammar School, leadership roles are encouraged and practised throughÂ
the Students Representative Council (SRC). Class Captains are elected by students from all classes from Prep to Grade 12 to represent them.
The objectives of the SRC are to encourage leadership skills of students and to give them experience in problem solving and making decisions. They learn to consult with management and teachers.
Female students are encouraged to take leadership roles in the school and the community. We encourage gender equality and transparency in leadership. Leadership roles are important for students as leaders in the school today because they are the potential leaders of tomorrow.
